A Peek Inside My Sketchbook

Three months ago, who would have thought I could have made this passable sketch of my dog Gypsy?
Certainly not me!  It's not perfect, but it certainly surprised me.  How about you? Have you done anything to surprise yourself lately?

It's fascinating to see the progression of your sketching, not being artistic, or the sort to draw, it is very interesting. Gypsy's portrait is fantastic too by the way!

Hi Rinda! How in the world do I have NINE unread posts on your blog in my reader? ~sigh~

LOVE your drawings of Gypsy - and I knew it was her even before I saw the label! You are doing a fantastic job with your sketching and it seems that you are really enjoying it. So fun!!!

What I've done to surprise myself lately is being in a new job this week that is pretty much out of my element, but I'm getting through it. I love the people and the workplace, and learning all the stuff is just going to take time. The surprising thing for me is that I'm accepting that, and therefore not freaking my own self out. LOL

I've always thought that sketch book pages are works of art in themselves.
